Getting You Out Of Jail
Release From Custody
Nobody wants to spend the night in jail, much less an entire weekend (or longer). Most DWI arrests happen on or around a weekend, and many of those arrests result in the driver being held in custody for court. There are several different rules that determine how long someone can be held in custody without being formally charged, but it boils down to the fact that the State will likely try to keep everyone arrested on a weekend in jail until at least Monday or Tuesday. That's not just an uncomfortable weekend, that's a situation that can cause real problems for people's lives, including employers; It's one thing to call in sick on a Monday, but it's another thing entirely to call in because you're in jail.
We want to get you back to your life and your family. There are things that we can do, strings we can pull, arguments that we can make, to get someone released from jail before they're brought before a judge. This typically involves having to a post monetary bail.
You don't deserve to be in jail. Once you've been arrested for DWI, the State is lining up every type of punishment imaginable to impose on you: mandatory jail, penalty assessments and fines, years of probation, loss of license, loss of your vehicle, loss of your dignity, ect. In the end, you may end up facing one or more of these punishments. Immediately after an arrest, you may feel guilty, but in the eyes of the law, you are still presumed innocent. Simply put, that means stop punishing yourself before the State even has a chance to do it. In our experience, the vast majority of people that are arrested for DWI never commit a new offenseThey learned their lesson the second they felt the handcuffs on their wrists. The sooner you get out of jail, the sooner you can begin putting your life back in order. We can help.
